Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is keen on Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.

The Sun says Big Sam knows the former Chelsea ace well having worked with him at Bolton for a year in the late 90s.

Gudjohnsen, rated at £2million, is not guaranteed first-team football at the Nou Camp although he did score in a Spanish Cup match against Atletico Madrid last week.

But with Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o also on the books, the Icelandic star is finding chances limited.
