Blackburn boss Allardyce struggling to land striker signing

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce admits they're not making progress in their search for a new striker.

The Rovers boss, who jets off to the World Cup in South Africa today, has been in constant touch with his chief scout over potential targets but admits the task is looking increasingly difficult.

"I am concerned because I don't know where we are going to get him from," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We need a quality player and we haven't the huge amount of funds available that other clubs have got.

"I am not so sure where we are going to get this key player from because it is a very difficult market in the world of football today."
