Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce says he'll aim to buy experience in January.

"There is always an inflated market generally in January," he said. "The problem being that most of the time it needs to be a player whose already had some Premier League experience. If he's from abroad then generally, with 17 games to go, it could take him 10 of those games to settle if you're lucky.

"If you're very lucky like I've been in the past with people like Djorkaeff they can be an instant success but that's rare in January.

"Evaluating the squad we have at Blackburn before we even venture into what we might or might not need is what will happen over the next few weeks."
