Blackburn boss Allardyce: No interest in Santa Cruz

Neither Manchester City, or any other club for that matter, have made a formal bid for Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz, claims Rovers boss Sam Allardyce. The Paraguayan, who is currently out injured, has been heavily linked with a move to City, where he would be reunited with former Rovers boss Mark Hughes.

"We've got to get him fit," Allardyce told Sky Sports News.

"I'm focused on getting players in, more than players out.

"It's not a done deal. No offer has been made for Roque Santa Cruz by Manchester City or, as far as I know, by anybody else.

"You never welcome losing your best players, but you can't help it if they make a bid, and you have to do whatever you have to do to take consideration over it and make the right decision from the club's point of view."
