Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is chasing Atletico Madrid striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle.
Allardyce had the 24-year-old French striker checked out last week when he scored in Atletico Madrid's 2-1 Spanish League defeat at Barcelona.
Sinama-Pongolle, who had 10 games on loan at Blackburn in 2006, has stuttered at Atletico after an £8million summer move from Recreativo Huelva.
The ex-Liverpool hitman is not an automatic pick as Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero are preferred up front.
