Blackburn Rovers are focusing their energies on signing a new striker.

The Lancashire Telegraph says James Beattie, Benjani, Frederic Piquionne and Kris Boyd are all believed to be on Rovers' wish-list, although reports linking Burnley striker Steven Fletcher with a move to Ewood are understood to be wide of the mark.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce wants a new striker signed before he switches sights to strengthening his midfield.
