Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has dismissed Mark Hughes' warning yesterday that Manchester City won't be held to ransom over transfer targets.

Allardyce hit back: "I don't give two hoots if they decide to look elsewhere. The money is not important to me.

"What is the money going to do for me? There are no players out there you can hang your hat on and go and buy.

"Nobody as good as Roque Santa Cruz is, anyway.

"Mark Hughes put pressure on me? I don't think so."
