Blackburn boss Allardyce: Arsenal youngsters need to win trophy

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce says there will remain a question mark over Arsene Wenger's current Arsenal team until they win a trophy.

Rovers face Arsenal today and Allardyce said: "The only question asked of him now is can he turn those young players into a team that can win something. We all know how attractive they are as a football team and we all know what a talent they are, but ultimately in the end a club like Arsenal has to win something.

"So I think that is his and his players next challenge, because they aren't young any more. They are very experienced now because he starts them young and puts them in the team.

"In terms of age they might still be young, but in terms of experience they are very experienced Premier League players now and that is probably why that, apart from a couple of slip-ups against Manchester United and Manchester City, they can look at the way the season has gone and can be very satisfied with how his team has played."
