Blackburn boss Allardyce admits he and Roberts don't get on

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has made the frank admission that he and striker Jason Roberts do not like each other. The working relationship has come under the spotlight after Roberts stepped out of a fringe role to score winning goals against Wigan and Newcastle earlier in November.

And Allardyce admits that, although he has been impressed with Roberts' form, he suffers an awful rapport with the unhappy ex-West Brom and Wigan man.

The Rovers boss said in The Sun: "I wouldn't say we like each other that much but we are getting on OK.

"He wanted to make a statement and he has done very well at it.

"If he wants to show his misery as he has done by scoring the winner, long may it continue.

"He has forced himself into being almost the No.1 selection for the frontline at the moment.

"He is playing great so we will keep him as angry as we can!"
