Germany striker Kevin Kuranyi is a target for Blackburn Rovers.

The Daily Mail says Blackburn are weighing up an approach for Kuranyi should Manchester City make an improved £20m bid for Roque Santa Cruz.

Kuranyi, 26, has averaged almost a goal every two games at Schalke but the problem for Rovers manager Sam Allardyce is the lack of time he has left to finalise a deal.
