Blackburn Rovers want £12 million for Christopher Samba.
Samba is known to be keen on joining a bigger club, and north London giants Arsenal and Tottenham are both keen on the player.
Spurs are prepared to offer £6m plus at least one player.
Rovers want a deal involving straight cash however, and double the amount Spurs are currently prepared to pay, according to the Daily Star.
