Manchester United U21 coach Warren Joyce is wanted by Blackburn Rovers.

The Telegraph says Rovers want Joyce to replace Paul Lambert at the helm.

The Scot stood down as manager at the end of the season after activating a release clause in his contract.

He had guided Blackburn to 15th place in the Championship.

Blackburn's offer is currently being considered by United chiefs, who have their hands full today.

Old Trafford chiefs are currently holding talks with first-team boss Louis van Gaal over his impending departure.
