Nancy full-back Jean Calve, 24, is training with Blackburn, with Rovers having apparently moved ahead of Stoke in the battle to sign him.

Calve confirmed last week that all three clubs were interested, but he is now in Lancashire looking to impress manager Sam Allardyce.

"With Calve we will wait until the weekend," confirmed Nancy's general manager Nicolas Holveck.
