Bjarnason inks new Celtic deal

Teddy Bjarnason has signed a new three-year deal with Celtic.

The 20-year-old Icelandic midfielder, who joined Celtic as a teenager, impressed during his first team debut in the final league game of the season against Hibernian and recently earned his first full cap.

Bjarnason said: "I am just happy that I am staying at the club. I feel that I've settled well in Glasgow, I've really enjoyed the past couple of years here and I've made a lot of great friends at the club.

"I wanted to stay at Celtic. This is a fantastic club, with great supporters, a great stadium and a great history and, ever since I moved here, I have wanted to play first-team football at this club."
