UEFA president Michel Platini is rumbling Manchester United hopes of a smooth post-match ceremony.
The Daily Mail says Platini's bizarre insistence that a club dignitary leads the Champions League finalists up the Wembley steps to collect their medals has left Manchester United with a dilemma.
Platini still wants a non-player heading the medal ceremony line-up despite the ridicule Peter Kenyon attracted when he was at the front of the Chelsea team when they were runners-up in Moscow in 2008.
United icon Sir Bobby Charlton is the obvious choice to do the honours when the two clubs have to name their selection at a final meeting.
But Sir Bobby was plainly uncomfortable with his non-playing lead role in Moscow. And there is the added problem of a relatively frail 73-year-old having to climb the 107 Wembley steps in quick time.
Other alternatives being considered by United are former captain Bryan Robson and latest ambassador Gary Neville.
