Pierpaolo Bisoli is convinced of a successful season ahead with Bologna.

Bologna was beset by financial problems and continual changes of management last season, which saw a three-point penalty, but still managed to avoid relegation.

"This Bologna side can already stay in Serie A. If I wasn't convinced of that, then I would not have accepted this job," explained the new coach.

"I believe in these players and am certain we will entertain the fans."

President Albano Guaraldi also commented on developments at the cash-strapped club.

"If we look at the other teams on our level, then they haven't really made many changes either. We've got an extra weapon: Bisoli.

"If there are new signings, then they will be top choices. My objective is to ensure I can get to November and still pay their wages, though, as the most important thing is to safeguard the club.

"Don't forget we had a €23m debt and are slowly paying it back."
