Alessandro Del Piero continued his freekick scoring spree as Juventus overcame Genoa 2-0. Celebrating his 34th birthday, Del Piero's freekick opened the scoring in the 40th minute of the away clash to Genoa.

Del Piero said: "I am very happy for the goal, but above all for the win that gives our fine form a sense of momentum and consistency.

"We really wanted this victory and it was very important to keep climbing after beating Real Madrid."

Vincenzo Iaquinta sealed the three points for the bianconeri with his second half strike.
