Birmingham City fullback Gregory Vignal admits he regrets leaving Liverpool.

Vignal returns to Anfield tonight with Birmingham City.

"It was a massive mistake," confessed the Frenchman. "But life is like this sometimes, you have to keep going.

"I've played for a few clubs but Liverpool are a massive club and when you play for a club like that you want to stay because everything is great.

"I don't know if I will play (on Monday night) but going back to Liverpool is a game I want to play in.

"I had great years there, so that would be fantastic for me, but it's up to the gaffer."
