Birmingham City defender Martin Taylor says there's been no mental hangover from his tackle on Arsenal's Eduardo da Silva.
Blues manager Alex McLeish said he was mentally shattered immediately after the controversy blew up.
"I just wanted to make sure Eduardo was all right and hopefully and thankfully he has come through, but there's a lot of things that can happen when you have an operation and things like that.
"But obviously now when you get back playing the manager was making sure I was 100 per cent focused on the game, which is what you have got to be.
"Hopefully now mentally I am absolutely fine to carry on playing Premier League football."
Taylor said he was encouraged that the medical bulletins about Eduardo continued to be positive.
"From everything I've heard he's on track and hopefully he can get back playing as soon as possible and everyone will feel a lot better for that."
And Taylor said he would visit him again. Eduardo said he didn't have much recollection of Taylor being at Selly Oak Hospital, due to the influence of pain-killing drugs.
"Yes, I definitely plan to go and see him again. I think that's something I'd like to do. I've said that all along."
