He said: "Definitely, I want to do well and prove they made a mistake - ideally, I'd score three! But I'd also like to perform and do it for Birmingham, they are my club now.
"It was just one of those decisions a manager makes, there was nothing I could do about it.
"I didn't get much of a chance last season so I was happy to move on. Steve Bruce and Birmingham wanted me the most, and I'm glad I made the decision to come here. It's been so easy to settle in and I'm really enjoying my football."
