Birmingham City fullback David Murphy admits their defeat at Aston Villa was the worst game of his career.

Murphy told the Birmingham Mail: "The Villa game was the worst game of my life that I've played in. It was horrendous.

"With Liverpool, we gradually started getting better and better in the first-half and deserved the goal.

"I thought we started the second-half quite well as well and deserved the second goal. It was just a shame we couldn't get the three points."
