Birmingham's McFadden happy with Everton exit

After Saturday's 1-1 draw, Birmingham City striker James McFadden maintains he made the right decision to leave Everton in January.

"I had a great time at Everton even though I didn't play as much as I would have liked," he said. "My whole time there was fantastic. There is a great atmosphere about the club and I had no complaints, apart from not being in the team on a Saturday.

"I looked forward to training every day and I settled in quite quickly and was really comfortable there. They are a great side with some very good players who can pass the ball around but when the going gets tough they can roll their sleeves up as well.

"It was a bit of a wrench to leave but I had to do it and I think I've made the right decision."
