Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies admits they were fortunate to only lose their first-leg playoff 1-0 to Blackpool.

Thomas Ince scored the only goal of the game.

Davies said: "I think we're pretty fortunate that it's only 1-0 to be honest.

"We did have some very good chances ourselves but with Taylor-Fletcher's chance, it's a great block by Rammy.

"I think Dobbie had a good chance, we're really lucky that it's only one-nil to be honest.

"Obviously taking them back to St Andrew's, we've made it a tough place to come and hopefully we'll do the same again.

"We've got to take the game to them because they've got the one-nil lead and we'll have to go and score some goals."
