Birmingham City striker Marcus Bent has no doubts Gordon Strachan is the right man in charge of Middlesbrough.
He saw action for Boro in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Bent, 31, played his first game under Strachan on loan from Birmingham and said: "He knows what he's talking about, instils confidence and has a presence.
"You want to work hard and achieve something with him. He's got plenty of time to put things right - and he will.
"I would love my deal to become permanent in January and get myself and Boro back in the Premier League."
