Birmingham City winger Jay O'Shea is trialling with Scunthorpe United.
Scunthorpe manager Ian Baraclough has boosted his ranks after drafting in three players on trial.
The Iron boss will run the rule on the trio of Bryan Hughes, O'Shea and Paris Cowan-Hall, who all featured in a reserves match against Lincoln on Tuesday.
