Birmingham City are planning a sensational move for Schalke striker Kevin Kuranyi.
The News of the World says Kuranyi wants £130,000-a-week to make a sensational move to Birmingham.
Blues boss Alex McLeish flew to Germany for a final check on the player during Schalke's 2-0 win against Hertha Berlin last Sunday.
Kuranyi, 27, obliged by scoring his 100th Bundesliga goal with a header as McLeish homed in on his target.
If Birmingham pull off the deal he will easily become the highest-paid player in the club's history and it will certainly ruffle some feathers.
