Birmingham City are willing to buy Celtic winger Aiden McGeady - for £6 million.

Blues boss Alex McLeish will not consider going higher for the Irishman, who has appointed new agent Struan Marshall to get him a move to England.

A St Andrews source told the Daily Record: "As for McGeady, Alex remains an admirer but not at the price Celtic are looking for .

"If they can get £10m for him then good luck to them. But it won't be from City.

"If the price comes down to £6m - and if Alex hasn't signed himself a winger in the meantime - then perhaps it could be resurrected."
