Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has explained why they missed out on Newcastle United signing Peter Lovenkrands.
"We lost out on Peter Lovenkrands. He opted to join Newcastle United," said Eck.
"We could only offer him the chance to train with a view to signing in the future."
