Birmingham City hope to sign Tottenham striker Robbie Keane for a knockdown fee.

The Daily Mail says Brum are interested in Tottenham's Keane but do not want to pay more than £5million - which would make a deal difficult.

Keane is expected to be made available by Spurs if they secure AS Monaco forward Eidur Gudjohnsen in a permanent deal.
