Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is waiting to hear from Sheffield United over their interest in Gary McSheffrey.

Hull City are also interested in the little-used winger.

McLeish said: "One or two players want to move out because of the lack of football, so we are looking at the possibility of that. But it needs to be right for us.

"As for Sheff, they have not made an inquiry to me but they may have spoken to his agent."
