The 37 year-old admits he's playing for his future today.
He told the Sunday Mirror: “In the last month, having played three games on the bounce has given me that bug again. I enjoyed it.
“I scored the goal against Bolton and enjoyed lasting the 90 minutes and it reminded me I don’t want to hang up my boots yet.
“There is still a lot for me to give whether that is in the Premier League or helping a side in the Championship to get back to that level. I’m not going to do a Michael Owen and send round my CV to convince clubs, but we’ll see what happens.
“I’m out of contract in the summer. I’m a goalscorer and they are hard to come by. The main thing for us all is to get us safe and we will see what happens then.”
