Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is reviving his bid for Real Betis midfielder Achille Emana.

The News of the World says Eck intends to go back in for Emana even though the Real Betis midfielder will be unavailable for a month.

The Birmingham boss planned a loan deal for the Cameroon star last summer but never really got the scheme off the ground.

Real Betis, relegated to the Spanish second division, want a straight £8million cash.

That is within Brum's budget yet Emana, 27, misses four weeks for the African Cup.
