Birmingham City hope to re-sign Barry Ferguson from Blackpool on-loan.

Birmingham are in talks with Blackpool over a loan deal for midfielder Ferguson, 34, which may involve a player coming the other way.

Manager Ian Holloway said: "We paid Birmingham £750,000 for Barry, so if they want him on loan our chairman thinks they should take up his wages rather than do a player swap.

"If they offer us someone from their first team, then maybe we'd look at a swap."
