Birmingham City have approached Palermo for striker Fabrizio Miccoli.
The lively Italian forward, who has had stints at Juventus and Benfica, is believed to be on the radar of Alex McLeish, and Gazzetta dello Sport says a £3.3million bid has been lodged.
That offer is sure to be rebuffed by the Sicilian club, but it's believed that they are open to negotiations.
Miccoli, 30, was hotly tipped to make the Italian World Cup squad, after playing a major part in guiding Palermo to a fifth place finish in Serie A.
