Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan has resisted an offer to buy into Newcastle United.

The Daily Express says Sullivan has been offered the chance to invest in Newcastle by Mike Ashley, who is already looking for a buyer after just months in control.

But Sullivan wants to get involved in a club nearer to his Essex home.
