Birmingham City co-owner David Sullivan is delighted for Steve Bruce's success at Wigan Athletic.
While they lost yesterday, the Latics remain above the dropzone and Sullivan said: "We got on well with Steve Bruce, but at the same time a change for both parties was good.
"It was unbelievable business for him, what he's got at Wigan, and we came out well getting Alex.
"We had lost seven out of the last eight games under Steve and Eric Black and were in a bit of a hole.
"But he's doing fine up there now and we wish him good luck."
