On-loan Birmingham City striker Garry O'Connor netted the winner for Barnsley in victory at Preston North End.

The Scot only returned to Barnsley on Monday.

A delighted Barnsley boss Mark Robins said: "I decided that it was better to keep Garry O'Connor on the bench because in my view he's not fully fit, but he came on and won the game and you can't say more than that."
