Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome admits he's been impressed by summer signing Christian Benitez.

Jerome and Benitez started together for the first time this season last Saturday against Sunderland and the combination was an instant hit.

"I think he's definitely got the talent there and the potential," Jerome told the Birmingham Mail.

"It's his first season in English football and, I've always said this, his time will come. He needs to settle in and then he will show what he's capable of. Last Saturday he was arguably our best player but he is still finding his feet at the moment.

''Give him a couple more months of playing regular football, getting used to it, the environment and speaking the language. But definitely I've seen first-hand in training and during the games, he's going to be a player."
