Birmingham City signing Daniel De Ridder is excited about the Premiership campaign ahead.
The former Ajax winger said: "The Premiership is the best league in the world and I've always followed it. I'm looking forward to comparing myself with other players in the Premiership. It's a dream challenge for me.
"My favourite position is right midfield, but I don't mind where I play. But when I look at other Premiership players, I think my style will be okay."
De Ridder has no doubts that Blues can survive in the top flight. De Ridder said: "Obviously our target is to stay in the Premiership, but I believe Birmingham are capable of doing that.
"Everything is very positive and training has been of a really high standard. The quality of football has been very high. Pre-season with Celta Vigo was very similar, with a lot of physique work.
"We have enough players in every position at Birmingham where there's a very good balance between physique and technical players."
