Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish didn't want to sign Giovanny Espinoza this week, it has been revealed.
The Sun says McLeish is steaming after being forced to sign a centre-back he did not want.
The Blues completed a deal for 32-year-old Espinoza from Ecuador outfit Barcelona Sporting Club on Wednesday.
But McLeish had turned down the player when contacted by agents.
They then went direct to co-owner David Sullivan.
Sullivan over-ruled McLeish and decided to sign the player on a two-year deal after talks with agent Barry Silkman.
An agent close to McLeish told The Sun: "Alex could not believe it when Sullivan signed Espinoza.
"The board knew his feelings on the player but went ahead anyway.
"Alex is really angry about this and the relationship he has with his bosses is not a good one."
