Birmingham City are set to sign Tottenham outcast Kevin-Prince Boateng on loan.

The midfielder, 21, has only made seven Premier League starts since his move from Hertha Berlin in July 2007 for £4.5million.

But Blues manager Alex McLeish has watched the German star impress for the reserves this term.
