Scottish clubs are interested in Birmingham City winger Robin Shroot.
Shroot does appear to still be in Alex McLeish's thoughts with the boss hoping to send him out for a temporary spell north of the border.
"Robin will feel he needs more league experience. He was at Burton for a wee while but it's been difficult to get him out anywhere else," McLeish told the Birmingham Mail. "He was injured the last few weeks of the season and I think it could go right to the wire whether he'd be ready for pre-season again.
"I've thought about Robin going out for league experience next year and possibly to Scotland. I've suggested that as a way forward for him.
"I think he'd do well in Scotland and I think it would be good for him to get some consistency from games.
"Why Scotland? Well, there is a problem with finances up there and it might be easier to loan to some of the Scottish teams. Robin is a decent player and it wouldn't cost them too much.
"The Premier League is not bad, a lot of bigger names have gone up there and failed, but he's capable of doing well."
