Birmingham City will scramble today to close a deal for Rubin Kazan striker Obafemi Martins.
Blues boss Alex McLeish is desperate to bring the former Newcastle United star to St Andrew's before tonight's transfer deadline.
But Blues sources have told tribalfootball.com there is still some work to do to get the deal over the line.
McLeish is concerned as Martins still hasn't had a medical and the club hasn't applied for his work permit.
