Birmingham City resisted interest from Manchester City for Sebastian Larsson yesterday.
The Swede attracted an approach from City on transfer deadline day, but Blues refused to do business.
City boss Roberto Mancini turned to Larsson after losing Adam Johnson to serious injury over the weekend.
Larsson comes off contract in June.
