Birmingham City are pricing Chris Hughton out of a move to West Bromwich Albion.
The Baggies had hoped to make Hughton new manager following Roy Hodgson's departure for the England job.
However, Birmingham are seeking over £1 million from West Brom to release Hughton from his contract and that is too rich for the Premier League outfit.
