Birmingham to play friendly in Hong Kong

The South China Morning Post reports Birmingham City has agreed to play a friendly match in Hong Kong in July. The match will be a part of the club's pre-season Asian tour and Birmingham City will play the Hong Kong international team on July 16th 2010.

Birmingham City, which is owned by Hong Kong businessman Carson Yeung, is also expected to play matches in Nanjing, Beijing, and one other destination which will be announced shortly.

Hong Kong Football Association's chairman Brian Leung Hung-tak said, "We are happy to arrange the match as part of the Hong Kong team's build-up for the Asian Games in Guangzhou and the 2014 World Cup qualifiers."
