Birmingham City are interested in Sunderland defender Matthew Kilgallon.
The Journal says Blues boss Chris Hughton was seeking testimonials on Kilgallon last week as he ponders life without Scott Dann, who was sold to Blackburn Rovers for £6million on transfer deadline day.
Although he managed to keep hold of Liam Ridgewell, a late target for Newcastle United, he is interested in versatile Kilgallon as someone who could add competition for defensive places at St Andrew's.
