Birmingham City's loan signing Alexander Hleb has revealed he turned down offers from both Liverpool and Tottenham.
The Belarus international has joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Barcelona and said that the club were most keen on his services and easiest to agree terms with.
"There were many offers: Liverpool, Tottenham, Benfica," he said. "But it was necessary to carefully consider all the options.
"With some we were unable to agree terms.
"Birmingham City apparently wanted me more than anyone else, so they were my preference."
