Birmingham new-boy Elliott admits expectations high at St Andrews

Birmingham midfielder Wade Elliott prepares to make his debut against Millwall in the Championship knowing much is expected of the Blues. However, they have made a poor start to the season following the drop from the top flight.

The recent signing from Burnley told the club's official website: "With the recent history of the football club and being in the Premier League, the aspirations of the supporters and the people around the club is to get back there.

"There is no getting away from the fact that what we'll be judged on at the end of the season is our league form.

"It's always a competitive and very difficult division but I think we have managed to retain a strong squad."
