Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will keep Johan Djourou at the club this season.

The Telegraph says Wenger has decided not to buy a new central defender after being convinced by Djourou that the Swiss is good enough to cope with the Premier League.

Birmingham City had hoped to sign Djourou on-loan this term.
